Quarantine…

First off, I want to ask you guys a question: how are YOU handling this quarantine? Is it killing you to stay inside for so long because you are a social butterfly? Or are you just loving the quiet time to yourself? Let me know in the comments, I would love to hear from you! 🙂

How am I, you might be wondering? Well.. let’s just say I don’t remember the last time I put on real clothes. I have been wearing my sweats and PJ’s ALL DAY EVERYDAY. I know that is supposed to make you less productive, but what can I say, I am enjoying hanging out in comfy clothes. I am definitely less productive than normal, but truthfully I don’t have much to work on anyway (except for my website, duh). On the positive side of things, I have been creating some new art, and experimenting with different mediums. I am not good at painting whatsoever, but I am working on making a little house. Photos of this to come when I am all finished! Of course, I am working on my bullet journal as well, but it’s weird becuase I have nothing to plan in it. So far, I have made a budget spread and a to-do checklist. Those will be up in another post by Friday, I promise.

To be honest with you guys, not being able to really leave my house has been rough on me. I am a social person, and I NEED to get out and do things. Ask my boyfriend. All in one day, I have dragged him to Hobby Lobby, Jo-Anns, Michaels, and then back to Jo-Anns because I didn’t get the cute wire the first time. I am always at craft stores just browsing the aisles, but right now I can only dream of that. Online shopping is just not the same. How am I supposed to tell if something is the exact color that I need from a computer screen? I want to see my boyfriend, my friends, and go back to work. Most people would love to have a long break from work, but it is slowly killing me. Working at a coffee shop, I meet new people all the time and love to learn about all of them. I have made so many connections and met so many interesting people, and being a social person, that is amazing for me. So, right now is obviously pretty hard on me. I hope to go back to work in a couple weeks, but who knows where the world is going at this rate. I am thankful for my health and the health of all my family and friends. While this is truly horrible, I am hoping that the quarantine is for the best, and this virus will be gone sooner than later. All I can do is hope for the best at this point, since everything is so unknown. For real, who knows when/if we will even go back to school this year? My guess is probably not. Maybe I will have final exams online.. that seems to be the direction we are going. No one knows, but we are all in this together.

I always like to look on the positive side of things. With everything going on, it sometimes seems like nothing positive can come out of this. But that is far from the truth. My community right now has grown so much as a whole, and I love to see everyone coming together. To me, it is really beautiful. My neighborhood has decorated their driveways and put painted rocks out. My county has made a Facebook page for all local businesses to support them. People are giving food for those who cannot get it themselves right now. I feel so blessed for so many people out there giving back.

From here on out, I am promising myself to stay productive. What do you promise yourself for the next few weeks? Stay safe out there!

As always, with love,

EmmaGrace

March Spread

So I finally have a monthly spread to share with you guys! I want to say thank you for your patience as I continue to grow my website. Life has been busy, but I am trying to post as many spreads as possible. Here is February and March of this year, which are just my plain layouts. I haven’t added much to them, because I like to show them off simple, and you guys can always customize it exactly to your taste. For this spread, I based it off of the Me and My Big Ideas monthly layouts. I used to have the pre-made layouts with the boxes but I decided I wanted to do it myself. Each box is 8 units by eight units, which leaves extra on the sode for some notes. I used a ballpoint pen for the edges, the blue stripes are sharpie highlighter, and the date at the top is using a Koi Coloring Brush Pen.
