Hello all and welcome back from the weekend! We are officially five days into October, which means it’s time for some monthly spreads. I have a few new spreads to share with you, but I will include some others that I have posted before that relate to the month of October. Don’t forget to look check out all my monthly spreads here!
Mental health is so crucial whether you are in college, working, or anything else. Whether it be schoolwork or your job, everyone has some sort of stress that bogs them down. For me, it’s a lot of stress from schoolwork and being away from home. That’s totally normal, but you MUST recognize when something is bothering you. Here are a few reasons why:
- Your mental health has a huge impact on your words, thoughts, and actions towards others.
- With greater mental health wellness comes greater wellness in other areas, such as social and physical
- Mental health wellness helps you lead a more productive lifestyle in work, school, and at home
- So much more! Take care of your mind people!
With that in mind, I decided to try a totally new type of spread, and I am so excited. Once a day I will write down some sort of positive thought, whether that be a quote, a self-care activity, etc.. I plan on using this spread right before bed, to think of something happy before I sleep. You could do it in the morning as well to start your day off on the right foot. It doesn’t take much to fill out this spread, but it will give you a few moments to ground yourself before either continuing with your day or going to bed.
To make this spread, I started by writing “Positive Thoughts” at the top of the page. Feel free to do this in the most creative way possible. Then, I wrote the 1st through the 31st down the page, either number taking up one line. At the bottom, I wrote a little key for the type of positive thought, which included: a quote, an act of self-care, a general positive thought, 1 thing that makes you smile, 1 thing to look forward to, 1 thing you’re grateful for, and 1 reason life is good. Each type of thought goes with a color, and I color coded each day of the month to correspond to a thought. For example, on a red day, I would write one thing to look forward to.
At the bottom, I have a little summary of my mental health goals for the month. I have six goals, and a “why” underneath. To the right, I write down if I achieved the goal or not, and how.
I found this amazing habit tracker from Clementine Creative. I have to give a huge shoutout to this website for it’s amazing, free planner printables. I usually make all my own spreads, but sometimes spreading the love is also wonderful. The great thing is that this spread works for any month, you just circle the right month at the top and write in the days that correspond to the dates. First off, I have all my daily tasks written down. Then I decided to try something different, with tasks that aren’t every day. I post on my blog on Mondays and Thursdays so I left these days blank. Then, I filled in every other day of the week that I don’t post. You could do this with something you do every other day, or even once a week.
Let me know in the comments which of these spreads you plan on using!!
